Qualifications
Peter received his Bachelor of Commerce (with distinction) degree from the University of Calgary in 1975, after which he joined the audit staff of Collins Barrow and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1977.
During the period Peter was with the firm's audit section, he led the audits of several of the firm's larger clients. In 1979, he transferred to the firm's tax section and completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants' in-depth income tax course. In 1980, he was appointed a Manager, and in November 1981, he joined the Special Services section of the firm. He has since attended the business valuation and litigation support seminars as presented by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Effective August 1, 1987, Mr. Schenkelberg was admitted to the partnership of Collins Barrow.

Since joining the Special Services section of the firm, Mr. Schenkelberg has completed numerous formal and informal valuations of private and public companies, partnerships and joint ventures, in a wide range of industries. He has also completed numerous valuations to assist solicitors in negotiating property settlements, loss of income claims and in resolving and settling shareholder disputes. Mr. Schenkelberg has been qualified as an expert in financial and valuation matters in the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench in relation to audit, valuation and loss of income matters and at the Code Inquiry as an expert in financial analysis and valuation matters.

valuation of an oil and gas company - security and solvency dispute arising in bankruptcy proceedings
valuation of a large honey producer - loss of income claim disputed by insurer
valuation of a real estate transaction - security and transaction amount relating to bankruptcy proceedings
Involving testimony at the Code Inquiry (an investigation into the affairs of First and Associated Investors Corporations) as an expert in financial analysis and valuation matters:
valuation of twenty-six complex transactions between the companies involved in the Principal Group Ltd.
valuations relating to a number of companies involved in the Principal Group Ltd., including the companies in the trust, oil and gas, brewery, investment contract, mutual fund administration and financial services industries
Involving preparation of valuation opinions for the courts:
valuation of a Casino and Bingo operation - pursuant to the terms of a Court Order a valuation was completed which resulted in the shareholders dispute being settled
valuation of a cement and asphalt paving operation - appointed liquidator by the Court to resolve a shareholder dispute, concerning the value of the business. Completed the valuation and disposed of the company to one of the shareholders for the value indicated
