Professional Highlights
Karen began her career in the insolvency industry in August of 1989. Working exclusively in that area, she was admitted to General Membership of the Canadian Insolvency Practitioners Association in 1998 after successfully completing study and written examination. She received her license as a Bankruptcy Trustee in 1999. Karen has extensive experience in administering bankruptcy and receivership estates with mandates ranging from immediate liquidation to continuation of operations. Her range of experience includes participation in engagements in a wide variety of areas including a major printing company receivership, clothing retailers, restaurants, office equipment retailers, jeweler stores, farms and trucking companies. Karen now practices in the area of personal insolvency and restructuring with Alger & Associates Inc., one of the largest personal insolvency firms in Alberta. Karen assists our Edmonton bankruptcy office with filing of personal bankruptcy and other financial options for our clients.
Karen is currently a Vice President with the firm and shares responsibility for overseeing the two Edmonton Alger offices.
