Bookkeeper

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and processing of the day to day trust accounts for Alger & Associates.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily bank deposits and post EFT and on-line banking payments

  • Attend to reconciliation and payment of registration, court, counseling and trustee fees

  • Follow up on NSF receipts

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure complete banking records.

  • Deal with debtor inquiries to hold cheques and change payment information

  • Liaison with the bank to open bank accounts

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in an accounting/bookkeeping position

  • Proficient personal computer skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Able to work with all levels of management with minimal supervision
