Bookkeeper

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and processing of the day to day trust accounts for Alger & Associates.
Responsibilities:
Prepare daily bank deposits and post EFT and on-line banking payments
Attend to reconciliation and payment of registration, court, counseling and trustee fees
Follow up on NSF receipts
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure complete banking records.
Deal with debtor inquiries to hold cheques and change payment information
Liaison with the bank to open bank accounts
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in an accounting/bookkeeping position
Proficient personal computer skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Able to work with all levels of management with minimal supervision
