Question:   My bankruptcy was discharged a year ago. I owe no money to anyone and have faithfully paid my new credit card off every month (need the card for hotel, car rental, etc.). I cannot get a checking account. What are the general rules that banks use, and are there any banks you know of in Atlanta, GA that will give accounts to people who have filed?

It appears from your question that you are in the US. I am a Canadian Trustee and cannot answer your question.
