Question:   Just what would you suggest -- a proposal or bankruptcy? I have had the same job for 21 years and I owe approx. $41,000 in credit card bills, my common law wife has the mortage in her name plus she owes about $15,000 in credit card bills as well and she has been laid off work permantly after about 20 years. There are no jobs around here. We are in definte trouble. Our only assets would be a car worth about $5,000.00. Still owe about $40,000.00 on a 5 year old mobile home.

I would suggest a complete assessment of your financial situation. Your information is complicated and an in-person free assessment would be most beneficial. If you want an appointment, please contact me using the information below.

We also have offices in Edmonton (780.414.1133) and Red Deer (403.350.2266) or call us on our toll free number (310-8888). If you do not live in Alberta you can contact a Trustee in your area by looking in the yellow pages under "Bankruptcy".
