Question:  

If a person files bankruptcy and doesn't reconfirm on a mortgage, does the joint applicant have complete ownership of the house?

Answer:  

Bankruptcy in Canada does not affect the ownership of a home. Someone who is bankrupt remains on title until legal steps are taken to remove them.
