If I file bankruptcy can I still buy a house?

Answer:  

Yes you can, although you may need a mortgage broker to help you find a mortgage. CMHC (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation) will usually guarantee a mortgage for you 2 years after your discharge from bankruptcy.
