Question:

My wife and I filed personal bankruptcy this year and forgot to included an old loan from 1997. The debt was for a pre-owned van I bought, which I later gave to my son, in 1998 because he was moving and needed it. He was paying the debt but then the a collector contacted me 2 years ago, for payment. I haven't heard from them since then and that's why we forgot, now we got a letter demanding payment. My son still has the van, the collector said they don't want the van now, just the money. We are 5 months into bankruptcy...what do we do?
