I would like to know if only certain people with certain
circumstances can file for bankrupcy. Are there any special requirements
before you can file for bankrupcy?

To be eligible for bankruptcy, the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act
requires that you owe at least $1,000 and be unable to pay your debts as
they come due. There are a number of other factors that come into play
when deciding whether bankruptcy is an option for you and I'd suggest
you call a Trustee to briefly discuss your situation. We can be reached
at 310-8888 in Alberta.
