Question:

Is bankrupcy ever allowed on student loans. I have been out of school now since April of 1995 and they have turned my loans over to a collection agency.

Answer:

If you have been out of school for 10 years, your student loan debt is dischargable. If it is less than 10 years than you are able to apply to the court after the 10 years has passed and the court will look at your circumstances and can discharge the debt at that time.
