Question:

Hi there. I have a truck that I currently am leasing, my question is, can I return the vehicle that I no longer can afford without getting sued for it. In B.C. I heard it was either seize the car "OR" sue for the amount oweing. Is Alberta seize or sue or is it seize "AND" sue?

The creditor's rights are determined by the contract you signed to finance the vehicle. Usually creditors can seize and sue in Alberta but you'll need to check your loan agreement to be certain.
