I owe a fair amount on a computer and they are
threatening to sieze it. Nw my question is, if they do, do I owe
money on the whole debt, or just what I haven't paid in the past few months?

In order to determine what you might owe, you need to go back to the
contract you signed. There should be a default clause which will
explain the amount owing. Often, the creditor can pursue for the balance of the
lease or what is left outstanding on the loan after the sale of the computer.
