My boyfriend was recently unemployeed and expected to recieve his severance pay and vacation pay within 10 days of getting let go. He just found out that his student loan garnished the entire check totaling to about $3,000 dollars. He was having monthly wages garnished already, but do they have a right to take all his money? Now he is broke and has no job, and no money to pay for rent, food, and any other necesity he may need. What are his rights?
