I live in the USA and owe my credit card company $40,000 US
plus $14,000 in student loans. I've already tried to handle my problems
here legally but to no avail due to a change in U.S. Bankruptcy laws
that heavily favor Credit Card Companies and Corparations.
If I emigrate to Canada, can my creditors come after me to collect my
debt?

Yes, I believe American creditors can pursue you through the Canadian
courts.
