Question:  

I just recently started my own landscaping company in April of 2000. I am going to be snowplowing residential homes this upcoming winter. I found a small truck, and I need a small loan of about $5000 to buy this truck. I presently don't have any credit, possibly I might have bad credit. I want to know how to get this small loan, or if it is even possible to get.

Answer:   I would suggest you talk to your banker about obtaining a loan for your truck and the start-up of your small business. They should be able to advise you if your credit is not in good standing and of any government programs you may be able to access. You may also want to contact Equifax at 1-800-465-7166 to obtain a copy of your credit report.
