Can you advise if a trustee has an obligation to respond to a creditor's proof of claim? i.e. should they acknowledge receipt of the claim and advise you of the status of the bankruptcy? In my case the
proof of claim was filed in July and bankrupt's discharge was in August.
I have yet to receive any acknowledgment of my proof of claim despite
sending 2 follow-up letters

Generally, Trustees don't acknowledge the filing of a Proof of Claim
unless there is a problem with the claim or until the estate is being
finalized (often well after the bankrupt's discharge.) If you have a
concern regarding the estate or your claim I'd suggest you contact the
Trustee's office directly.
