If I filed for bankruptcy 2 years ago and received money
from a personal lawsuit recently, do I have to give this money to the
bankruptcy trustee? The lawsuit was pending at the time of filing. I
received a notice of discharge about a year ago.

In Canada, if the lawsuit was pending at your date of bankuptcy, it is
potentially an asset available to creditors. You must advise your Trustee
that the lawsuit has been settled, and he will advise you if any portion of it belongs to your bankruptcy estate.
