Question:
What constitutes someone to claim banruptcy? How do you go about it? What are the qualifications in other words and how do this affect your credit rateing in the future? What happens to anything you own now like an old car, furniture, and if you are just making enough to go from day to day but not pay off any bills but rent and food, utilities. Also how would this affect that I have to pay so much a month child maintenance which is why I can't keep up with any other bills? Except as I stated above not including health care.

To go about filing bankruptcy, you should see a Trustee for a free consultation. This meeting will answer most of your questions.

What you are entitled to keep will depend on the province you are in, Also, outstanding maintenance payments will survive a bankruptcy.

To obtain a free assessment, you should contact a Trustee in your area by looking in the yellow pages under "Bankruptcy".

If you have any further questions or want to come in for a free assessment to our office, please call or email me using the information below.
