Question:

Is there an offical site I can go to that will tell me how long after a consumer proposal has been filed and commpleted it remain in your credit report? What steps are involved in removing bad credit experience from your report? I think it is erased off your credit report after Bankrupcy but what is it for Consumer Proposals?

Information provided to us by the credit bureaus indicates that your credit report should be cleared 3 years after you complete a consumer proposal. Unfortunately, that doesn't always seem to happen and debtors must often contact the bureaus to have their records updated (the Trustee has no access to the bureau). I'm unaware of a website for the bureaus but have the following telephone numbers: Equifax is 1-800-465-7166. Trans Union is 1-800-801-3619.
