I loaned made a personal to my mom for $5000 2 years ago and did not have a note signed by her. What can I do to collect these funds and is there a time limit that I can collect?

Answer:

Without a signed document showing that money is owed to you, you have nothing to prove that there is actually a debt owing. Collection may be difficult unless you can prove that you lent the funds.
