When making the assignment into bankruptcy you must disclose all debts to the Trustee. Secured debts must continue to be paid if the asset is kept. Examples of debts that survive a bankruptcy are child maintenance and alimony, Court debts such as fraud or restitution Orders and student loans that are less than 10 years old. Your Trustee will advise you if you have any debts that will survive.
