Question:

If I am under the age of 21 and plan to open my first business. If my business goes down in the first 5 years, and declare bankruptcy, and i go back to school, how long will it take before I can apply for a credit card again and have my credit rating back? Also, how long will it be in my record for about being bankrupt? Thanks.

Answer:

You can apply for credit anytime after the bankruptcy is discharged but the bankruptcy will be reflected on your credit record for 6 years after the discharge.
