Question:   I had a wage garnishee put on me which my employer has fully complied with the court orders for me to repay back $8001.50. I have paid it off and now they are saying that I still owe them $1089 plus their lawyers costs. What are my options in this matter?

Answer:

I'd suggest you contact the garnishing lawyer/creditor about the debt and for a copy of any legal papers. If the lawyer sued, you are liable for the legal costs added to the original debt.
