Question:

I filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy. Is filing bankruptcy the same as having a judgment. I recently filled out a credit application for a loan. The loan officer checked judgment as well as bankruptcy. judgement was listed on the same line as garnishment , attachment, foreclosure, repossession, collection action or judgment. I explained to her I had no garnishments foerclosurs repossessions or collection actions. She said bankruptcy and judgment was the same thing.
