Question:
My husband and I have a computer that we own, and I was wondering if you clain bankruptcy if we would have to sell the computer, because this is our only means of keeping incontact with our family members because we do not have a phone. This is because we did not have any money to pay our phone bill. We also do not have a credit card so can we still file for bankruptcy?

Each province has certain exemptions which allows you to keep assets. It will depend if your computer is used for work purposes or if is financed when you file bankruptcy. To obtain a free assessment of your financial concerns, you should contact a Trustee in your area by looking in the yellow pages under "Bankruptcy". If you have any further questions or want to come in for a free assessment to our office, please call or email me using the information below.
