Question:

I'm living common-law and all the debts other than one are in my name. Do I have to put my spouse down or can I go it alone?

Answer:   If all the debt is in your name you can "go it alone." The Bankruptcy Act does require you to report your spouse's income to the Trustee but the bankruptcy should not affect your spouse.
