Question:  

My husband is going to file a bankruptcy. Is it going to affect our house right now? We own 75% of it.

Answer:  

In Alberta you are allowed to keep up to $40,000 equity in a house and you keep making your mortgage payments. Your Trustee will explain what happens if you have more than $40,000 equity.
