Question:
If a bank has a lien on your vehicles will they take them automatically or can you keep one if your husband's job depends upon having a vehicle -- not just to get to work but to actually perform the job?

Answer:

Currently, the only financial institution that is taking the vehicles almost without exception is the Royal Bank. Most other lenders will allow you to keep the vehicle and continue to make payments if you are up to date on your payments. If you are behind there is a good chance they will seize the vehicle.
