Question:

I read somewhere that Consumer proposals stay on your credit bureau report for three years, but first time bankruptcies are noted for seven years. Could you please tell me how long Division I Consumer proposals stay on the report? Thank you.

Answer:

A Division 1 proposal should remain on a credit record for the same length of time as a consumer proposal - 3 years after completion of the proposal.
