Question:  

My boyfriend got into an accident with my car, which was not insured at the time and the damage is $13,502.00. The the insurance companies want him to pay for this. Can he declare bankruptcy, and if he does will the insurance companies come after me?

Answer:   Bankruptcy may be an option for him, however, he may want to talk to a Trustee to obtain all the facts. With respect to whether the insurance company can pursue you, you may want to talk to your lawyer regarding the legal implications.
