Question:

Claimed bankruptcy on June 1, 2000. Bankruptcy completed summer 2001. Dishcharge was received. Do I have to do anything different to file my taxes for 2001? Do I just fill out a normal return, indicating nothing about the bankruptcy, and claim the whole T4 slips for the year, etc?

Your help is appreciated.

Answer:   Only tax returns for the year in which you filed bankruptcy are done differently. You can do the 2001 return for the entire year as usual.
