Does a credit rating here, resulting from bankruptcy, follow you? I am starting a new job in the UK - will any credit check there show as R9?

I don't believe that credit information is pssed on from the Credit Bureaus in Canada to other countries unless there is a request but suggest you ask the Bureaus. You can find information on how to contact them in the section Credit Rating on this website.
