Question:  

I currently have $100k in debt and make a $70k salary. I make good money but I still can't get out of debt so I am considering bankruptcy. Will I qualify?

A person can file for bankruptcy if they owe more than $1,000. Given your level of income, a proposal may also be an option. I'd suggest you meet with a Trustee to discuss your situation and the best option for you. Alger & Associates can be reached at 310-8888 in Alberta.
