If the statute of limitations is 7 years, howcome equifax can keep a second bankruptcy on for 14 years?

Answer:  

The Statute of Limitations in Alberta is actually 2 years and refers to the period of time after which a creditor is no longer entitled to pursue for their debt. The Statute of Limitations does not apply to reporting information to the Credit Bureau.
