Question:

I receive monthly disbursemnts of $770/month for roughly 9 years as a result of my disability. I have a debt load of over $12000 and a majority of this debt is a result of supplements and education expenses. I receive payments from the Acquired Income for the Severely Handicapped program and I wanted to know if I could qualify for interest relief like a low interest loan.

There are no programs that I am aware of that deal with interest relief. In Alberta, there is a program called Orderly Payment of Debts which restricts the interest to 5%, but with $12,000 of debt, your payment would be $285 per month.
