Question:   My husband works for a casino. If he files bankruptcy, will he lose his job?

Answer:  

Normally a person does not lose their job when they file bankruptcy. However, it will depend on the policies his employer has in place regarding this. The Trustee does not notify the employer so it may be that they would not find out about the bankruptcy. We do however, suggest that a person tell their employer as it is often better if they find out up front.
