If my husband's company declares bankruptcy, how will that affect our personal finances and home if I hold a job and
have been making the mortgage payments? Also what about the credit cards that are in joint names?

Your husband's company is a separate legal entity. The only way your
personal finances are affected is if you or your husband signed personal
garantees or if either of you are directors of the company and the
company owes either Revenue Canada money for GST or source deductions or
if employees are owed wages. If this is the case then you are personally
responsible and the situation gets complicated.
I would request that you call me to obtain further information and
possibly set up a free consultation.
