Question:  

If I were to file personal bankruptcy, what would happen to my 2002 tax refund if I were to receive one?

Answer:  

Any refund for the previous year goes to the Trustee as an asset of the estate. However, if you owe CCRA they will keep it and offset it against what you owe.
