Question:

Thanks for answering my previous question. I was just thinking, if we get married while my bankruptcy is in process, what about wedding gifts we receive? I am imagining that we would have to hand over any cash that we received as gifts, and provide a list of any other gifts we received? I don't think our gift-givers would appreciate their gifts being given to my creditors!

Answer:

You must report all gifts to your Trustee, who will advise you if any of their value must be paid into the bankruptcy estate.
