Question:

I've heard the Alberta statute of limitations is 2 years as opposed to 6 for the rest of the country. Does that mean that if you are not sued within 2 years of your last acknowledgment of the debt that you cannot be sued?

Answer:

I believe it means that any debt that has not had any attempts at collection within 2 years is stayed, but I'd suggest you ask a lawyer for clarification.
