My grandfather cosigned a loan for me some time ago. He passed away in July 2001. If I declared bankruptcy now, would the creditor be able to go after my grandmother?

If your grandmother didn't co-sign as well then the creditor can not pursue her. The creditor could, however, make a claim against your grandfather's estate, if anything is available there.
