I bought a $4,000 car in Oklahoma in 1996. After a couple months the tranmission went out on the car and I returned it to the dealer. They would not fix the car so I left it there. I am now being sued for $13,000 for the car that I do not have and have not had. I know live in Kansas. What is the statue of limitations? Am I responsible for this? What can I do?

I'm sorry, we are Canadian Trustees and cannot answer questions about U.S. law. Please contact an attorney in Kansas.
