When I was 18, I made some really bad choices and wrote bad
checks to my banks. I also have about 10,000 in additional unsecured
debts. I am a mom of three now and don't know where to even start
paying back my damage. What would you suggest my options are? Thanks.

Your options will depend on your current income and situation and would range from consolidation loans, to the Orderly Payment of Debt program or a Proposal or Bankruptcy. If you have been found guilty of fraud due to the bad cheques, you will be required to pay those amounts back in full, even if you file for bankruptcy. I would suggest you call a
Trustee to discuss your situation. A Trustee at Collins Barrow Limited
in Alberta can be reached at 310-8888, or you can check under
"Bankruptcy" in the Yellow Pages for a Trustee in your area.
