A person who has been bankrupt is not stopped from leasing a car or
renting an apartment. A record of the bankruptcy, however, is reflected
on your credit report for 6 years after you have been discharged, which
may affect whether or not a leasing company will advance credit. Your
ability to obtain credit again will depend on you, your income and the
lender.
