Question:

I am currently in debt to a number of people, and I am wondering how I go about getting ALL of my credit information? I know there is a company in the East that has me on a list, however I cannot recall the name, and I want to make sure I include all my information when making a propor filing for bankruptcy. What chareges will getting these reports incur?

Answer:   There are two credit reporting agencies: Equifax @ 1-800-465-7166 and Trans Union @ 1-800-801-3619. There is no charge for them to send you a copy of your credit report but it will take several weeks. You can also request a copy of your credit report on-line from Equifax for a charge of about $15.00. For additional information about the credit bureaus, see the Credit Rating section of our web site.
