I have filed Bankruptcy in Sask. I incurred the debt in Alberta however. My question: My mother was co-named on a credit card that was included in the bankruptcy. She never used the card. It was a convenience purpose for purchasing for my business. Can the credit card company legally come after her? I had removed her from the card prior to filing but conveniently they have no record of that conversation on their system.

Unfortunately, if your Mother's name was on the card and she used it, the credit card company can pursue her for the debt. Unless you received written verification that her name was removed, the creditor will likely not agree that they had a conversation with you. Your Mother may want to try settling with the creditor if she was not the primary cardholder.
