A Gold Digger I just had the fortune of having a common-law relationship with pulled another fast one.
This woman and her husband were so far in debt, mostly jointly through home,
vehicles, etc. However, she had also operated a Driver Training School for 3
years which was in the hole. As fate would have it, she moved in with me
(for a 7 month period)...., filed for a divorce (which incidently was never
followed through on), got a job with the Police (photo-radar), put a
restraining order on her husband and filed bankruptcy. Naturally, he had
the majority of the property and assests as the divrocee settlement hadn't
gone through. Four days from leaving my house, she moves back in with him, he buys a new house just out of town. Is this legal, or is this FRAUD with a Capital F?
Also, the day she filed bankruptcy, she also picked up $4000 worth of stereo equipment that she had co-signed for in place of her son, she had already filed about 1 in the afternoon, but the stereo was still at the shop, about 6:00 PM she walked in and picked it up, she had already filed bankruptcy. Again, is this LEGAL?
