Question:   I was wondering what level of privacy remains once someone declares personal bankruptcy? Will my employer be contacted?

Answer:

If you file bankruptcy, your file is open to review by any of your creditors. Also, your papers are filed at both the court house and the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy.

If you cooperate with the Trustee during the bankruptcy, your employer is not contacted.

If you have any further questions or want to come in for a free assessment, please call or email me.
