Question:   I filed bankruptcy in Feb 1994 and fully discharged in Nov. 1994. When can my bankruptcy filing be removed from the Credit Bureaus' records? Feb 2000 or Nov 2000 if they can keep it for six years? How can I inform them to remove my filing, and how do I know which one to inform other than Equifax?

The credit bureau will remove the bankruptcy information six years from the date of the discharge. This should happen automatically. The other credit bureau to contact is:

TransUnion
Box 338 LCDI
Hamilton, ON L3L 7W2
Fax: 1 (905) 527-0401
