Question:

My husband wants to file bankruptcy but I do not agree, we will divorce in a few months but still he is thinking to file it. My question is do I have to sign with him if we are not divorce yet?

Answer:

No, you do not have to file bankruptcy just because your spouse has. However, there may be debts for which you are also liable that might now become you sole responsibility. Frequently this added financial pressure forces the second spouse to consider some sort of financial restructuring of either a formal or informal nature.
